Chief Minister of Kerala, Mr Pinarayi Vijayan will commence a four-nation tour of Europe with a visit to the Netherlands from May 8-12, 2019 at the invitation of the Dutch Government to explore possibilities of cooperation in water management, flood prevention and agriculture.

A 'Meet & Greet' with Kerala CM & Seminar on Business Opportunities in Kerala was organized, attended by around 100 companies/ entities from the Dutch & Indian business community . A presentation on the opportunities for investment in Kerala was made followed by a Q&A session


ASSOCHAM, Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce and Trade (NICCT) and Indian Business Chamber (IBC) organized a 'meet and greet' with Chief Minister of Kerala as well as a Seminar on Business Opportunities in Kerala.


Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala visited Keukenhof, one of the world's largest flower gardens, situated in Lisse, South Holland, He met with Mr. Bart Siemerink, Managing Director of Keukenhof.

Hon’ble Kerala CM held discussions on potential collaboration such as precision farming, crop diversification, cold storage, below sea level & saline agriculture in Kuttanad & ecotourism during his visit to University of Wageningen at Westmaas


Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan visited the Port of Rotterdam where he was received by Mr. Edwin van Espen, Program Manager. He was briefed on a number of topics such as inland waterways, logistics, flood control and water management.


The Kerala CM met with Mr. Jan-Kees Goet, Secretary General at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. During the meeting, an official letter from Goverment of Kerala on the implementation of the Centre of Excellence for floriculture in Kerala was given.


Hon’ble Kerala CM paid a field visit to the “Room for the River” project at Noordward. The goal of the program is to give the river more room to enable better management of higher water levels during floods to secure safety.


The Kerala CM Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan paid a visit to Dutch National Archives. A letter of intent for collaboration in preservation & digitizing of Dutch records in possession of Kerala state archives was handed over to the Director by Mr. Tom Jose Chief Secretary Govt of Kerala.


The Kerala CM Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan was received by Mr. M.L. Engelhard, Director National Archives of Netherlands & held discussions on collaboration between National Archives & Govt of Kerala in preservation & digitizing of Dutch records in possession of Kerala state archives.
